The European PVC Window Profile and Related Building Products Association, EPPA inpa
EPPA is the trade association of European PVC-U window system companies, related national associations and component manufacturers. Based in Brussels, EPPA represents the interests of its members at European level vis-à-vis the general public and administrative authorities. As a platform for the bundling of national activities and achievements, EPPA invites experts to continuously drive forward the state of the art in PVC-U window systems technology. Related building products refer to all rigid PVC and cellular profiles used for finishing windows, home protection as well as internal and external decoration.

EPPA is bound by the Voluntary Commitment of the PVC industry in Europe, which sets out targets to be achieved in sustainable development. These are

  • to substitute the use of lead stabilisers by 2015;
  • to support all kinds of national activities with regard to the post-industrial and post-consumer recycling of used PVC-U windows in Europe (EU-15 and the enlarged EU-27); and
  • to make relevant waste streams transparent in terms of audited and certified figures.

EPPA provides services for architects, planners, builders and authorities, particularly in aspects such as quality certification schemes (ATG, NF, KOMO, RAL and others), green public procurement (GPP), environmental product declarations (EPD) and best practice. EPPA is a member of European Plastic Converters EuPC and maintains strategic partnerships with VinylPlus, Recovinyl inpa and Rewindo GmbH.
